Privacy and Humane Design

Privacy is not about data, but about humans. A talk about privacy fundamentals and privacy as chance for a more humane design.

This talk was composed to build a foundation of modern privacy understanding for designers and information architects. I felt the urge to compile this talk, because I recognised a vast lack of knowledge and understanding around privacy and how design choices affect the privacy of people.

While everybody has an intuitive and strongly emotional understanding of privacy, when it comes to the own privacy - only few consider privacy related issues as relevant. At least not beyond legal requirements. This talk provides knowledge to change that - design principles meant for Services Designer, Information Architects, Interaction Designers and others are in the works.
